In a momentous occasion, Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, marked its 5th convocation today with a focus on fostering entrepreneurial skills as a catalyst for economic development. The convocation lecture, titled “Entrepreneurial Skills as a Panacea to Economic Development,” was delivered by Professor Kingsley Ufuoma Omoyibo.

The esteemed Rector of the polytechnic, Engr. Sylvester Omoruyi, in his address, expressed gratitude to the Governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki, for the unwavering support towards the institution’s growth and development. The convocation ceremony served as a platform to acknowledge and appreciate the collaborative efforts that have propelled the polytechnic to new heights.

A highlight of the event was the valedictory speech by the Student Union Government President, Hon. Ehis Eromosele. In his heartfelt address, he expressed gratitude to his fellow graduands, reflecting on shared experiences and growth throughout their academic journey. He extended his best wishes to all graduates, encouraging them to strive for higher achievements in their future endeavors.

The convocation also featured the recognition of notable personalities (Arch Bishop Osa-Oni, Dr Graham Hefer – MD Okomu oil Udo, Mr. Udoukou – MD rubber estate NG LTD) who have contributed significantly to the polytechnic’s success. Awards were conferred upon these individuals, acknowledging their commitment to advancing education and fostering an environment of excellence.

The 5th convocation of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, not only celebrated academic achievements but also emphasized the crucial role of entrepreneurial skills in driving economic development. As graduates embark on new chapters in their lives, the polytechnic remains dedicated to shaping individuals who will contribute meaningfully to societal progress and innovation.

I love this citadel of learning.. they should keep up…they have good laboratory for practical but the only issues is LACK OF ADEQUATE WATER IN THE BOYS AND GIRLS HOSTEL… WHICH THE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT HAS TO WORK ON BECAUSE THE STUDENT ARE PAYING HEAVILY FOR IT…
